The Academic Advisory & Editorial Board

Serves... as an advisory panel that provides The Marcus Center's Executive Director with scholarly counsel on a wide range of matters including the Center's overall academic program, its acquisition policy, its fellowship & visiting scholars' program, its publication series, and any other matters deemed necessary by the Executive Director.

Functions... as an editorial board for the Marcus Center's biannual publication: The American Jewish Archives Journal (AJAJ). In this capacity, board members assist the AJAJ's editor and managing editor in evaluating articles and, at times, serve as referees for articles under consideration for publication. In addition, AA&EB members provide the journal's editor with counsel regarding the journal's academic content and the AJAJ's publication policies.

Supports… The Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives, as its advocate in scholarly circles, and strives actively to enhance its collection, its program, and its reputation in the academic world.

Members of The Marcus Center's Academic Advisory and Editorial Board serve for a minimum of three years.
