The Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives preserves and protects the historical record of American Jewry. We need your generous support to ensure that the historical voice of the American Jew is sheltered for future generations. Your gifts will be acknowledged by receiving the American Jewish Archives Journal, our informational mailings, and access to our world premier collection on American Jewish history.

If you would like, you have the option to earmark your donation to go towards one of the AJA's established funds (see below). Please note the name of the fund you would to contribute to and type it in the "Notes" field while making your online donation.

The AJA Fellowship Program:
The Fellowship program, which was established in 1977 by the late Dr. Jacob Rader Marcus, offers a yearly Fellowship Program which provides recipients – graduate students, scholars, and practitioners -- with month-long fellowship for research and writing related to the history of North American Jewry.

The Marcus Center Building Fund:
Due to the generous support of the estate of Dr. Jacob Rader Marcus, construction and renovation of the American Jewish Archives began in October

The American Jewish Archives Journal (AJAJ):
The AJAJ, published twice yearly , is the primary publication of The Marcus Center. The Journal documents and preserves the American Jewish experience through the publication of scholarly articles and primary documents written by academic and talented amateur historians from around the world.

The Marcus Center Genealogy Initiatives:
The American Jewish Archives has a large genealogy collection and encourages genealogy inquiries and research. We are committed to expanding knowledge and awareness of Jewish genealogy and to helping individuals and families find their Jewish roots.

The American Jewish Archives General Fund:
The general fund is used in support of the overall operation of The Marcus Center including direct expenses of acquiring, processing and preserving its collection. In addition general funds are utilized to fund staff and program costs and for the operation and maintenance of the unique facilities which house the American Jewish

The American Jewish Archives (a division of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC)) collects donations on their website to support their mission. If you believe that an error has been made in connection with your online donation, you should contact the HUC Office of Gift Administration at (513)487-3043 or (513)487-3220. We will work with you to correct any error, and if necessary, make the appropriate refund. Please contact us within 30 calendar days from the original donation. Refunds will be issued as a credit to the original credit card.
