Abraham Alexander (1743-1816) was a hazzan of Congregation Beth Elohim in Charleston (S.C) from 1765 to 1784. In addition to serving as an army lieutenant in the Revolutionary War, he was a prominant Mason. Alexander also worked as a scribe and auditor for the Charleston Custom House. |
