History:

The Federation of Jewish Women's Organizations was founded in February, 1923, as a federation of thirteen Jewish women's organizations. The Federation was founded as a council of presidents and appointed representatives of various Jewish organizations with a goal of creating better understanding and cooperation between the various organizations. The three main areas of their work have included philanthropy, education and religion.
